We all need friends.
No matter who you are or what you do, friends are important to happiness and success. They cheer us on, help us through the tough times and even overlook our imperfections.
People with illnesses such as depression, anxiety, ADHD and Bipolar are no different. In fact, the experts think they do even better when they have friends and families supporting them.
You may never know which one of your friends has one of these illnesses. You can't tell by looking at someone, or even by behaviors. Many people are getting treatment, and any symptoms they might have are under control.
But what if the treatment isn't working? Behaviors may change, and you might not know why. Your friend might be making some bad choices. But sometimes people with these illnesses can't tell when the treatment isn't working for them. When you gently say something, it could be all they need to make any changes that will help them feel better ... and act like your old friend again.
Friendships Count.
